S2 E7 News in the Industry

 From the request of a couple of listeners that emailed in we gloss over the history of this industry.  In 1882 the first distribution systems were built using DC.  By 1914 there were 43 states with regulatory commissions.  Blake reads an article about a quest of fusion energy that could give the world a near limitless source of clean power, using diamonds and gold. Jeremy questions the authenticity of Blake's article. Jeremy looks into FERC more and how the grid is connected. Texas has its own power grid, and the guys talk about the pros and cons for this. They talk about the Enron scandal and how it changed so much.
